Volunteer
Do you have a connection to--or an interest in--Maui’s sugar history or plantation life? Are you a scout or student who needs hours? Visiting Maui and want to get involved and give back? If so, we have volunteer opportunities for you!

Help Students Learn History
Do you like working with school children? Do you like telling stories? Our Education Program docents are trained volunteers who guide students through the museum. Easy: a script is provided. Flexible: you will join a pool of other docents who are called upon monthly. Weekdays, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m., September through May, when school is in session.

Sew Beanbags for Education
Join our Stitching Squad! We need piles of empty beanbag shells sewn for our education program. This ongoing project can be done in the comfort of your own home on your own time. Get your friends together for a sew-athon to benefit our keiki. Pattern and instructions are at the bottom of this page. Fabric is provided, or use your scraps.

Museum Gardening and Groundskeeping
Trim, rake, sweep, pull weeds, plant and water our quaint, historic grounds. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, between the hours of 9am and 1pm. Closed toed shoes required. Wear a hat and protective clothing. We have basic tools and supplies, but you can bring your favorites.
